New Look Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre

The Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre has a new look!

The tiny pink building on the corner of Elizabeth and Davey Sts right near the Hobart waterfront is heritage-listed so has limitations on how much of it can be changed. So it has its challenges, especially on cruise ship days when the place can be full to bursting with cruise ship passengers looking for tours to book and free wi-fi to use. But it has undergone an interior remodel that will make it much more efficient and user-friendly for everyone – both visitors and staff.

Ideally if you are arriving in Hobart on a cruise ship you will prebook a tour either through your cruise ship shore excursions, a local operator or through the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre which you can do in advance of your arrival. They have a designated email person in the back office who takes care of enquiries and makes bookings. And since they’re right here in Hobart, they are up to date with all the latest tours, events and opportunities to make the most of your visit while you’re here. So stop in and visit sometime and see the new and improved interior (although preferably not on a cruise ship day – even with a remodel, it is still a tiny building!)
