Christmas in Tasmania
Here's what Christmas in Tasmania looks like - fresh summer fruit in the grocery stores; buskers and shoppers in shorts and T-shirts on a 27 degree (81 fahrenheit) Christmas eve day;
ripening tomatoes at my sister's house, where we go to sing Christmas carols, with evening views over the Derwent River; a view of kunanyi/Mt Wellington from a local shopping centre;
and, last but not least, our very special Tasmanian pinkeye potatoes - no Christmas day lunch is complete without them. The forecast for today - Christmas Day - is 33 degrees (92 fahrenheit)!!
Happy Christmas to everyone in all parts of the world.
