ITINERARY: 

Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary – visit up close: kangaroos, wombats, Tasmanian Devils, koalas, echidnas, emus and other native birds.  

Richmond Historic Village – time to explore this superb example of convict heritage buildings, local art galleries, and delicious examples of Tasmanian food.  See the oldest bridge in Australia and tour the Richmond Gaol for a fascinating look at convict life in Tasmania (optional - $7 entry fee)

The Tasman Bridge Disaster – a close up view of the site of this dramatic event that literally divided a city.

Optional Royal Botanical Gardens

Hobart City Sights, including the historic waterfront, the old homes and heritage cottages of Battery Point and the oldest brewery in Australia.  Experience panoramic views of this beautiful city before returning to your ship.  Or to Salamanca, a 10 minute walk from the cruise ship wharf.
