Bush Retreats
Island Time Tours is pleased to announce our Bush Retreats at a private bush property near Hobart. Let Izzy the Bus take you away to what feels like another world but is just one hour from the city. The hand built genuine Alaskan log cabins will provide shelter from the weather if needed and we will have an activity that connects us to the earth and the place and magic and quiet – singing, drumming, walking, meditating, yoga etc.
The day retreat will consist of two sessions of the chosen activity. Guests can also walk the trails, take a nap, read, sit on the verandah and enjoy the view of the valley, or do absolutely nothing. A bush barbeque lunch and light morning tea is included.
This quiet, remote 300 acre place is off-grid and very rustic (part of the authentic bush experience!) There is a landline on the property and phones are strongly discouraged except to use as a camera.
Our first bush retreat is “Bush Harmony” a singing and harmonising workshop with Nicole McIntyre, a passionate advocate of music and its power to connect us to ourselves, each other and the natural world.

ABOUT NICOLE
Nicole McIntyre has a burning passion for music and its power to connect people with themselves, each other and the natural world.
Her voice has a unique strength, dexterity of style and raw emotion.
She teaches voice mechanics to students in Hobart and is finishing up a BMus degree in Songwriting at the UTAS Conservatorium of Music.
She previously toured with Savage Garden on their wildly successful ‘Garden of Earthly Delights’ worldwide live promotional & concert tours in 1997 and 1998.
Her song-craft odyssey has taken her to the UK for 7 years, teaching voice and working with various artists on original material and jazz projects. She worked with new material in a solo capacity, and also with local originals band Guerilla Zingari, a Gypsy/Roots outfit that has recorded two full albums over the past three years and played at Woodford Folk festival in the summer of 2014-15.
She makes regular appearances at Henry Jones Long Bar and “Rektango”, and recently lead workshops for the vocal chant on Dark Mofo’s “Burning” event.
